If Gustavo Valido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Girabolhos's Gentil Bentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Valido in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute Belchior Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Ribas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sabino Passos came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Girabolhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Passos couldn't finish the play. Pedro Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gentil Bentes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Girabolhos's Zarco Novais got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Pedro Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Girabolhos's goalkeeper Gentil Bentes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabino Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Damião Ribas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damião Ribas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Gustavo Valido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gentil Bentes having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Damião Ribas made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Sabino Passos sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 56 minutes, Gustavo Valido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Associação Desportiva Zon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Valido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pedro Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Valido in the 62nd minute of play forced Girabolhos's goalkeeper Gentil Bentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabino Passos in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damião Ribas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 70 minutes into the match, Associação Desportiva Zon's goal looked a bit too open when Belchior Amaral came free, but Damião Ribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Girabolhos's Belchior Amaral in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Pedro Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of Girabolhos were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Associação Desportiva Zon side.
