The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cândido Macena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Abreu in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd match minute, VR Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cassiano Gentil to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Fidalgo came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristiano Pinto could save by the left post. Cristiano Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Eiró, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Pedro Fidalgo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Pinto having to interfere. With a little luck, Corvos's Cristiano Pinto got control of the ball when Pedro Fidalgo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rui Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Macena having to interfere. If Pedro Fidalgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. VR Eagles's Cândido Macena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Amorim in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Eiró in the 48th minute of play forced Corvos's goalkeeper Cristiano Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute Amadeu Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Macena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Abreu scored 0-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cândido Macena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cassiano Gentil hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 61 minutes in the game, Rui Amorim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cândido Macena having to interfere. Rui Amorim struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Cândido Macena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corvos. Amadeu Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Macena having to interfere. Gil Madruga got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, VR Eagles's Gil Madruga got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Corvos's Fernando Pacheco tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Amadeu Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Corvos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Abreu couldn't finish the play. Rui Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Macena having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Corvos's Amadeu Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cândido Macena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute Pedro Fidalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Cândido Macena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu Abreu struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Cândido Macena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corvos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Amorim got free with Cândido Macena in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amadeu Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cândido Macena having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Corvos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of VR Eagles:s goal. Ivan Curado placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!
