Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucas Fernandes kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Augusto Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Sérgio Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vitoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Santarém was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Coimbra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SC Cernadelo's Óscar Leiria got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Fernandes in the 12th minute of play forced Vitoria's goalkeeper Júlio Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes, André Moniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vitoria and the SC Cernadelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a left leg Júlio Nascimento saved Vitoria from getting behind. After some careless play in the SC Cernadelo defense, Rogério Assis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Coimbra. The SC Cernadelo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Coimbra should have stopped the shot. Vitoria's André Moniz suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 21st match minute, SC Cernadelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Leiria to maneuver through the defense. Armando Coimbra made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Rogério Assis sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Assis got free with Armando Coimbra in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, SC Cernadelo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Assis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Júlio Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Fernandes in the 33rd minute of play. Júlio Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Fernandes in the 35th minute of the match. Júlio Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Diamantino Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vitoria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cernadelo the free kick. Diamantino Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Vitoria's Júlio Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Matias in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Fernandes in the 44th minute of play forced Vitoria's goalkeeper Júlio Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lucas Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogério Assis made a kick off. Júlio Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Fernandes in the 59th minute of play. Rogério Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Coimbra having to interfere. Fernando Matias came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Júlio Nascimento could save by the left post. Júlio Nascimento was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucas Fernandes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 70 minute of play. Sérgio Santarém was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Armando Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the SC Cernadelo defense, Diamantino Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Coimbra. The SC Cernadelo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Coimbra should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Júlio Nascimento successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. SC Cernadelo's Abel Veiga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Júlio Nascimento in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lucas Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Vitoria's goalkeeper Júlio Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Matias. Fernando Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Cernadelo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
