João Rebelo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 4 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Fernando Bulhosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lucas Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the SC Cernadelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Fernandes couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Codecaes's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Fernandes came free, but António Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Bulhosa in the 14th minute of play forced SC Cernadelo's goalkeeper Armando Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Lima having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Codecaes's João Rebelo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Fernando Matias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but António Lima made a huge save. In the 23rd match minute, Codecaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Bulhosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, João Rebelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Fernando Bulhosa came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Codecaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Bulhosa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Cernadelo booed when Codecaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Rebelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. António Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Lucas Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Bulhosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Coimbra having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. SC Cernadelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Bulhosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Armando Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Fernando Bulhosa's late challenge caught a SC Cernadelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Bulhosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Fernando Bulhosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 minutes, Lucas Fernandes made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Codecaes's António Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SC Cernadelo were victorious despite being under pressure from Codecaes for much of the match.
