The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaime Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jaime Santos hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 4 played minutes Luadas got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Melo. Donato Diegues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evandro Mesquita hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Donato Diegues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Gaspar in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Tougues FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Gaspar came free, but Donato Diegues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Rodrigues in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Diegues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jaime Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 18 minutes, Tiago Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tougues FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Tougues FC's Tiago Vides ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armando Cabral. Armando Cabral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 32 played minutes Luadas got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Melo. After having played for 33 minutes, Jaime Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tougues FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evandro Mesquita's late challenge caught a Luadas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Neves, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Afonso Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Donato Diegues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Angélico Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tougues FC's protests and gave Angélico Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, one of Tougues FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tougues FC. The referee gave Luadas a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paulo Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tougues FC's Donato Diegues. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Afonso Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Diegues was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Tiago Vides's late challenge caught a Luadas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Vides helped the player get up and apologised. Tiago Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Luadas's Armando Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Vides in the 77th minute of play. Hermenegildo Macieira kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Donato Diegues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Gaspar in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Tougues FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Rodrigues came free, but Donato Diegues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luadas's goalkeeper Armando Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tiago Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Luadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Melo to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Tiago Vides made a precise shot to the right of Armando Cabral. Luadas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Luadas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tougues FC.
