After a defensive mix-up in SC Souzel's zone, Xavier Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílcar Delgado came out of the goal and Xavier Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raimundo Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of SC Souzel booed when Obrais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sidónio Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Bezerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Gaspar took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amílcar Delgado. Amílcar Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sidónio Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Vilarinho kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Obrais booed when SC Souzel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Fernando Resende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amílcar Delgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Amílcar Delgado didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Obrais's Paulo Carvalho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Paulo Carvalho spun around in front of the goal 71 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Souzel's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Dantas in the 74th minute of play forced SC Souzel's goalkeeper Amílcar Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Raimundo Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Souzel and the Obrais players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Fontes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Sidónio Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Obrais players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
