Telmo Prada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Hamilton Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Sadinos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Delgado to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Sidónio Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timóteo Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes, Eurico Avelar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ABC Cabanas and the Sadinos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Sadinos FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Braga. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Graciano Brito's late challenge caught a ABC Cabanas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Graciano Brito helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sadinos FC's Graciano Brito got a free kick in the 96th minute.
