The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basílio Machado was the one to do the kick off. Tavilhao's Armindo Aragão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Machado in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute of the match Jacinto Aguiar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armindo Aragão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 54th match minute, Tavilhao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Matos to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Basílio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Aragão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Usseira's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Carreira came free, but Lúcio Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tavilhao booed when Usseira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Alexandre Carreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tavilhao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Carreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Amorim came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Tavilhao's Gualter Carvalho. But to his dismay, Gualter Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Gualter Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tavilhao's goalkeeper Armindo Aragão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Tavilhao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Roriz to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Usseira got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Azevedo. Usseira's Lúcio Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Carreira in the 92nd minute of play. If Alexandre Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Amorim was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Alexandre Carreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alexandre Carreira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.
