Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albertino Couto started the match with the kick off. FC Montemor's Adelino Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Vieira in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Gabriel Vieira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Montemor's Adelino Queirós. Adelino Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC Montemor's Kevin Morais got a free kick in the 14th minute. Adelino Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Gabriel Vieira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Montemor's Adelino Queirós. Adelino Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lúcio Amorim made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Rui Azeredo sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Usseira's goalkeeper Lúcio Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Azeredo. In the 32nd minute of the match Armando Matias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Queirós skillfully saved the ball. Gabriel Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Queirós having to interfere. Basílio Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Adelino Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Azeredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Amorim having to interfere. If Albertino Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hélder Viegas fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Usseira's protests and gave Hélder Viegas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Usseira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Viegas to maneuver through the defense. FC Montemor were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Usseira's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horácio Freitas took the corner. After the first half Usseira were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basílio Machado made a kick off. Egídio Damásio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adelino Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Egídio Damásio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Montemor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egídio Damásio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Vieira got free with Adelino Queirós in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Gabriel Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Adelino Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertino Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertino Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. Lúcio Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Azeredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Albertino Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lúcio Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Azevedo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Rui Azeredo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Lúcio Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Montemor. Usseira's Gabriel Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Gabriel Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gabriel Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Usseira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Vieira couldn't finish the play. The Usseira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Usseira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
