Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Afonso Vidigal got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Daivoes's goalkeeper Hermano Carmona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Afonso Vidigal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hermano Carmona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Daivoes's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Vidigal came free, but Hermano Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daivoes's Eduardo Malafaia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Daniel Moutinho but with some difficulty. Josué Ventura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Afonso Vidigal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermano Carmona. Daivoes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Vidigal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 28th minute, Alcides Lessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes SC Carmoes got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Carvalho. João Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Daniel Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-1 when João Pinheiro sped through SC Carmoes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Moutinho. In the 35th minute, Josué Ventura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Carmoes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Ricardo Pires fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daivoes's protests and gave Ricardo Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Pires hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Pinheiro to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that João Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Moutinho was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Ventura couldn't finish the play. Afonso Vidigal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bento Regalado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Daivoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Matos to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Daivoes's Hermano Carmona got control of the ball when Josué Ventura tried to sneak it across the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Carmoes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
