In the 18th minute, Miguel Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Miguel Santarém dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sálvio Figueira, 2-0. Rui Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Moutinho in the 26th minute of the match. Rogério Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rui Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Valqueira getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marco Moutinho hit a great ball. Marco Moutinho stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Povorais FC's defenders and the ball went out. SC Valqueira appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Duarte Gomes charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Gomes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicolas Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Povorais FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. João Henriques hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rogério Amaro made the kick off in the second half. Sálvio Figueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Henriques in the 51st minute of play. Rogério Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Miguel Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Marco Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Povorais FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rogério Amaro 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. After some careless play in the SC Valqueira defense, Pedro Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sálvio Figueira. The SC Valqueira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sálvio Figueira should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Povorais FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Amaro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Amaro in the 87th minute of play forced Povorais FC's goalkeeper Rui Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Ramos having to interfere.
