Diogo Ponte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bilhares. Ricardo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Ponte having to interfere. Afonso Borges had several of the NeoSport Club's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 11 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Diogo Ponte as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Afonso Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diogo Ponte made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Afonso Borges sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, NeoSport Club's goalkeeper Diogo Ponte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Borges. Diogo Ponte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Diogo Ponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Melo in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, NeoSport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Melo came free, but Diogo Ponte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Afonso Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Ponte was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sálvio Conde was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ricardo Melo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo Ponte. NeoSport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Melo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. When Afonso Borges fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Bilhares's protests and gave Afonso Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Sálvio Conde charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sálvio Conde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonso Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. NeoSport Club's Diogo Ponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Borges in the 75th minute of play. Diogo Ponte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Melo went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Afonso Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diogo Ponte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. Diogo Ponte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. NeoSport Club's Diogo Ponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Borges in the 89th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Afonso Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NeoSport Club's Diogo Ponte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo Melo might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diogo Ponte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Melo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Borges in the 93rd minute of play forced NeoSport Club's goalkeeper Diogo Ponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bento Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bento Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes NeoSport Club got a freekick which was hit by Bento Amorim. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Bilhares fully deserved thier win.
