Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pedregulho FC's Gustavo Assunção started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. António Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Pedro Prestes made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Pedregulho FC's zone, Bernardo Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Tavares came out of the goal and Bernardo Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Mafra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Inácio Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, António Baptista dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Prestes, 1-0. Alexandre Mafra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Tavares having to interfere. Jorge Lemos charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Lemos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Humberto Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Prestes. Penascosa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jorge Lemos got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 22 played minutes Penascosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Lemos. Pedro Prestes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Thanks to some nice moves António Baptista could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Pedro Prestes however easily saved by the left post. Inácio Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Mafra in the 35th minute of play. If António Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. António Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Gustavo Assunção who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Penascosa FC's Pedro Prestes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Penascosa FC's Pedro Prestes got control of the ball when António Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedregulho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but António Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Mafra to make the kick off. Penascosa FC's Pedro Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Assunção in the 54th minute of play. Pedro Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedregulho FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Penascosa FC for a fine match.
