The Old School fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudemiro Rocha should have stopped the shot. Claudemiro Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Fonseca in the 14th minute. Porfírio Guerra hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Luís Bessa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. SC Rubiais's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cristiano Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Rocha having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Porfírio Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hélder Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SC Rubiais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Rocha having to interfere. Claudemiro Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Bessa went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of SC Rubiais booed when Old School was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gastão Baião didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Afonso Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Afonso Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old School's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With a little luck, Old School's Claudemiro Rocha got control of the ball when Hélder Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Luís Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Claudemiro Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Assunção struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Claudemiro Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Rubiais.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diogo Moniz was the one to do the kick off. Claudemiro Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Bessa in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55thth minute of the game Cristiano Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Old School's Claudemiro Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Almiro Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Oso Ortiz made a huge save. Hélder Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Rocha having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Old School's zone, Cristiano Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudemiro Rocha came out of the goal and Cristiano Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Afonso Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Old School's Claudemiro Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Bessa in the 70th minute of play. If Luís Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudemiro Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Marco Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th match minute, SC Rubiais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Assunção to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Old School booed when SC Rubiais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldaír Antas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oso Ortiz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Afonso Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Old School's zone, Cristiano Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudemiro Rocha came out of the goal and Cristiano Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SC Rubiais getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Cristiano Fonseca hit a great ball.
