Januário Pessoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Guterres, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Januário Pessoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Fontoura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jesualdo Sesimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clube Futebol União Lamas's Rodrigo Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Torpedo de Mafamude FC's Júlio Carvalhais got a free kick in the 36th minute. Laureano Fontoura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jesualdo Sesimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Torpedo de Mafamude FC's zone, Romão Espinosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesualdo Sesimbra came out of the goal and Romão Espinosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

In the 52nd minute, Clube Futebol União Lamas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xavier Coutinho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Laureano Fontoura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Futebol União Lamas's supporters rose to their feet, but Laureano Fontoura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesualdo Sesimbra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Kevin Guterres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Januário Pessoa. That made the score 0-1 in the 69 minute of play. Kevin Guterres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Pessoa having to interfere. Laureano Fontoura hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Xavier Coutinho took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Januário Pessoa. Januário Pessoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Xavier Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torcato Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jesualdo Sesimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute of the match, Kevin Guterres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Januário Pessoa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Torpedo de Mafamude FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Torpedo de Mafamude FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
