To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Alpriate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Souto came free, but Zeferino Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Alpriate FC defense, Vladimiro Aveiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeferino Fernandes. The Alpriate FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeferino Fernandes should have stopped the shot. Zeferino Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Souto in the 28th minute of the match. Fabiano Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeferino Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ronaldo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabiano Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeferino Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronaldo Vasconcelos took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeferino Fernandes. Zeferino Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabiano Souto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeferino Fernandes. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. Fabiano Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeferino Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Ronaldo Vasconcelos sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Souto to make the kick off. The referee showed Altino Gouveia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Torroal FC got a freekick which was hit by Altino Gouveia. In the 66th match minute, Alpriate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregório Chagas to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Fabiano Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeferino Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alpriate FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gregório Chagas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dércio Lopes having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alpriate FC! After having played for 85 minutes, Altino Gouveia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torroal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Altino Gouveia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Altino Gouveia in the 85th minute of play forced Alpriate FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeferino Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
