FCVILABOA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Cristiano Veiga scored to the left of an out of position Himmet Neda, making the score, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, FCVILABOA's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Mesquita came free, but Himmet Neda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FCVILABOA's Himmet Neda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Pestana in the 17th minute of play. With 19 minutes on the clock, Cândido Morais commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to FCVILABOA getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cândido Morais hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, FCVILABOA's goalkeeper Himmet Neda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Neiva. Himmet Neda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Pestana in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, FCVILABOA's Cláudio Setúbal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Rebocho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some careless play in the FCVILABOA defense, Dário Mesquita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Himmet Neda. The FCVILABOA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Himmet Neda should have stopped the shot. Himmet Neda made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ivan Neiva sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Ivan Neiva took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Himmet Neda to make any attempt to save it. Ivan Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Himmet Neda made a huge save. Gil Rebocho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cláudio Setúbal went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Pestana made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ivan Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laseira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Himmet Neda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the game, Viriato Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
