Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luís Pedroso took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute of the match, Hélder Amorim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Carvalho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hélder Amorim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Carvalho. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Vítor Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Gueifão in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Pinho got free with José Carvalho in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Cacem's José Carvalho got control of the ball when David Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, SC Escariz's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Gueifão came free, but Vítor Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cacem fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Cacem's Afonso Gueifão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Afonso Gueifão got free in front of the goal in the 23rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Vítor Matos was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Paulo Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Gueifão took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Matos. Vítor Matos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Gustavo Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Vítor Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonso Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 minutes, Hélder Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Escariz and the Cacem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélder Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Afonso Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacem's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes SC Escariz got a freekick which was hit by David Pinho. Cacem's Afonso Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Gueifão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hélder Amorim took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Carvalho. José Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. David Pinho was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. José Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Amorim in the 67th minute of play. José Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Cacem's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Amorim came free, but José Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paulo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Paulo Macedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Matos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Nogueira during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cacem booed when SC Escariz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Afonso Gueifão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Matos. SC Escariz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Gueifão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The Cacem players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
