When Neiral FC's Hugo Reis in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Gabriel's goalie prevented a goal. Eliseu Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Reis in the 4th minute of play. Joel Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Souto having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Edgar Barcelos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eusébio Esteves, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Neiral FC's Eusébio Esteves got control of the ball when Graciano Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 minutes, Cláudio Resende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neiral FC and the SC Gabriel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cláudio Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Edgar Barcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eusébio Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseu Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Reis in the 33rd minute of the match. If Edgar Barcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
A collision led to Neiral FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Joaquim Cardoso hit a great ball. Miguel Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Eusébio Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Barcelos in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Neiral FC's zone, Edgar Barcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Esteves came out of the goal and Edgar Barcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Barcelos in the 75th minute of play forced Neiral FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, SC Gabriel's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cláudio Resende fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hugo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Gabriel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
