SC Cheleiros's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Ivan Falcão scored to the left of an out of position Vítor Faro, making the score, 1-0. Manuel Lages struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Vítor Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freches. 13 minutes into the match, SC Cheleiros's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Montenegro came free, but Vítor Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Lages could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Vítor Faro made a huge save. Vítor Faro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivan Falcão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Vítor Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Mota in the 23rd minute of the match. Carlos Correia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Nuno Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Miguéis having to make a save. Nuno Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute of the match, Manuel Lages got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vítor Faro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manuel Lages could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Vítor Faro made a huge save. Vítor Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. SC Cheleiros's Vítor Faro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save SC Cheleiros from getting a goal against them. Vítor Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Mota in the 39th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes, Freches's Januário Assunção shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vítor Faro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Freches reached it. Diogo Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vítor Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Mota to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Manuel Lages shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Freches's Cássio Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vítor Faro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 59th minute Ivan Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Lages took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Faro. Vítor Faro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Manuel Lages recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Ivan Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Freches fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Vítor Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Lages in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, SC Cheleiros's Mariano Rocha made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Miguéis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Diogo Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, SC Cheleiros's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Falcão came free, but Vítor Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, Freches's Cássio Montenegro made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vítor Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvano Baldaia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Cássio Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Faro was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Lages in the 90th minute of play forced SC Cheleiros's goalkeeper Vítor Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Emílio Arruda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Faro. SC Cheleiros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emílio Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Freches fully deserved thier win.
