Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Mota in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Delgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastião Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Golden Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Mota came free, but Sebastião Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Panchorrinha FC's João Guarda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastião Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Golden Eagles booed when Panchorrinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Delgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Guarda in the 29th minute. Jorge Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Trindade having to interfere. Abel Mota received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastião Delgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Abel Mota slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Abel Mota struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Sebastião Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panchorrinha FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Golden Eagles's João Pinho got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Golden Eagles's Fábio Fontes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jorge Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Golden Eagles's Sebastião Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Mota in the 80th minute of play. Jorge Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Trindade having to interfere. Fábio Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Trindade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Panchorrinha FC's Marco Correia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastião Delgado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. André Trindade was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fábio Fontes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 98 minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
