Sebastião Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Cristóvão Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio Vilarinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Anunnaki United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aldaír Parente in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Cabral made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Matelinho got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Lima.
