Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Domingos Viegas took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Mesquita in the 4th minute of play forced Lagos FC's goalkeeper Afonso Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When FC Smoby's Ronaldo Mesquita in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lagos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alberto Lima's late challenge caught a FC Smoby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Domingos Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. José Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Montenegro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. José Neto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Viegas's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Pedroso in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Neto saved FC Smoby from getting behind. Ronaldo Mesquita had several of the Lagos FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Afonso Luz as he didn't even see the shot coming.

Afonso Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Mesquita in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Lagos FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fábio Tavares hit a great ball. Afonso Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Vilanova, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play Lagos FC's Fábio Tavares was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 64 played minutes Lagos FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Tavares. After a defensive mix-up in Lagos FC's zone, Ricardo Vilanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Luz came out of the goal and Ricardo Vilanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, David Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Vilanova recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Mesquita's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Domingos Viegas's late challenge caught a FC Smoby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Ricardo Vilanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Vilanova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Luz having to interfere. Ricardo Vilanova recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Lagos FC's Domingos Viegas got a free kick in the 88th minute. Manuel Rebocho kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
