Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Catarino Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Vigário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Pedro Vigário dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Catarino Moreira, 1-0. Jorge Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Ramires having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Torcato Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montepio FC and the Resgatados FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cesário Carvalhal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Ramires having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Alexandre Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resgatados FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurentino Ramires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Neves's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. João Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cesário Carvalhal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montepio FC's Pedro Vigário got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. Júlio Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Cesário Carvalhal struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Catarino Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montepio FC. In the 61st minute, Resgatados FC's Alexandre Branco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Neves got free with Laurentino Ramires in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Moreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Vigário went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 82nd match minute, Montepio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Leite to maneuver through the defense. Montepio FC's Laurentino Ramires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Branco in the 83rd minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Rui Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resgatados FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montepio FC the free kick. Rui Faria hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Resgatados FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montepio FC.
