Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Simão Aguiar got the match started through his kick off. If Eduardo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aparício Mourão hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Eduardo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentino Ramires having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Aguiar in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurentino Ramires saved Montepio FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesário Carvalhal in the 13th minute of play forced Laguinho's goalkeeper Ricardo Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, Laguinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Moreira to maneuver through the defense. If Pedro Vigário had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Laguinho's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Vigário came free, but Ricardo Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Vigário took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Macedo. Ricardo Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st minute, Eduardo Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurentino Ramires was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Eduardo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Pedro Vigário made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Paiva struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Laurentino Ramires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laguinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Aguiar in the 53rd minute of play forced Montepio FC's goalkeeper Laurentino Ramires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Simão Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laguinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Laurentino Ramires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Paiva in the 66th minute of play. When Alexandre Silva fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laguinho's protests and gave Alexandre Silva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Laguinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Silva to maneuver through the defense.
