Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basílio Matos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Cândido Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Torres having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Gustavo Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contenca's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Gustavo Barros in the 22nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Daniel Torres made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Gustavo Barros sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Gustavo Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Fonseca in the 32nd minute of the match. Alimonde's Daniel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Matos in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Contenca's zone, Marco Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Mota came out of the goal and Marco Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alimonde's Daniel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Barros in the 69th minute of play. Daniel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Matos in the 70th minute of play. Contenca's Gustavo Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Contenca from getting a goal against them. Daniel Torres came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Contenca's Basílio Matos. But to his dismay, Basílio Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 78th minute Gustavo Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Alimonde's Cândido Soares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustavo Mota. That made the score 1-2 after 85 minutes of play. Cândido Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The Alimonde supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alimonde would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
