Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diogo Anjos started the match with the kick off. Hugo Branco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vítor Tomé showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Apilata's zone, Adolfo Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Alcântara came out of the goal and Adolfo Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Nunes struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Norberto Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valdrez. A collision led to Valdrez getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Afonso Nunes hit a great ball. Norberto Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Apilata's zone, Diogo Anjos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Alcântara came out of the goal and Diogo Anjos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Diogo Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Tomé in the 19th minute of play. Hugo Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Tomé, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Apilata booed when Valdrez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Miguel Bessa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Valdrez's Hugo Branco. Hugo Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Vítor Tomé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Alcântara having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Apilata got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Lessa.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Tomé to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Diogo Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diogo Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Norberto Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Valdrez got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Miranda. Vítor Tomé received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Anjos in the 82nd minute of play forced Apilata's goalkeeper Norberto Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Valdrez's Adolfo Rocha got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes in the game, Vítor Tomé dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Apilata could leave the field as winners, despite Valdrez having more of the ball for most of the match.
