Mário Aleixo was a little too slow when Adolfo Machado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Gabriel Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Ramos went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Martins having to interfere. Nuno Martins struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gabriel Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Picoitos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Machado in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Aleixo saved SC Picoitos from getting behind. In the 27th minute of the match Fernando Brás shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mário Aleixo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adelino Bessa charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Bessa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gabriel Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Bernardo Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cabecadas's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Aleixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Machado in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Aleixo saved SC Picoitos from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Martins in the 46th minute of play forced SC Cabecadas's goalkeeper Gabriel Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Martins was the one to do the kick off. 2-2 became the score in the 52nd minute when Pedro Ramos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Adolfo Machado's late challenge caught a SC Picoitos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Machado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Cabecadas getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Adolfo Machado hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Hélder Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Picoitos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cabecadas the free kick. In the 59th match minute, SC Picoitos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Matos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fernando Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Nuno Matos, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A hard shot 71 in the game by Pedro Ramos from a close distance when the talented Gabriel Martins managed to make a qualified save. SC Cabecadas's players were relieved. In the 88th match minute, SC Cabecadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Matos to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Cabecadas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Picoitos's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Picoitos.
