In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvendre FC's goalkeeper João Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Alvendre FC's zone, Pascal Van Eijcke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Aguiar came out of the goal and Pascal Van Eijcke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Catarino Assis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. João Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC. DISCOVERY fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Pascal Van Eijcke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Queirós in the 28th minute of play forced AC. DISCOVERY's goalkeeper Alexandre Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes, Joaquim Leiria made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Alvendre FC's João Aguiar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. João Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Baptista in the 35th minute of the match. AC. DISCOVERY's Alexandre Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save AC. DISCOVERY from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, AC. DISCOVERY's Alexandre Queirós got control of the ball when Xavier Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Xavier Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Leiria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Pascal Van Eijcke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alexandre Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Emanuel Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alvendre FC booed when AC. DISCOVERY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. AC. DISCOVERY's Alexandre Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Amaral in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Alvendre FC's goalkeeper João Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascal Van Eijcke. 80 minutes into the match, AC. DISCOVERY's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Amaral came free, but Alexandre Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute.
