Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alexandre Nogueira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Delfim Domingues made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 9thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Joaquim Freitas would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Tiago Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Neves in the 11th minute of the match. Américo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tiago Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Favaios getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ricardo Veiga hit a great ball. With a little luck, SC Favaios's Joaquim Freitas got control of the ball when Delfim Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Domingues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquim Freitas came out and tried to block the shot, but Delfim Domingues slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Américo Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Cristiano Gueifão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Picanceira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Favaios the free kick. The supporters of SC Favaios booed when Picanceira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiago Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Veiga in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

54 minutes into the match, SC Favaios's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Nogueira came free, but Joaquim Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Catarino Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Favaios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Cunha having to interfere. In the 65th minute Delfim Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes, Diogo Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picanceira and the SC Favaios players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Picanceira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Reis to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Picanceira were awarded a corner. Afonso Monteiro went to the cornerflag to take it. After 73 played minutes SC Favaios got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Neves. Joaquim Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Catarino Neves got free with Tiago Cunha in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inácio Vaz's late challenge caught a Picanceira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. Inácio Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Tiago Cunha was a little too slow when Américo Ribeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-1. When Catarino Neves came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SC Favaios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Neves couldn't finish the play. SC Favaios's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Picanceira had won, even though SC Favaios had held more of the ball.
