The attack was good, but when Pedro Borba in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Pedro Borba took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilídio Liberato. Ilídio Liberato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Pedro Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ilídio Liberato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teófilo Pais hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, MIGUELPAULO's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Valente came free, but Ilídio Liberato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilídio Liberato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Valente in the 19th minute of the match. Nuno Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Águas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Manuel Vilhena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilídio Liberato having to interfere. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind MIGUELPAULO's goalkeeper Ilídio Liberato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in MIGUELPAULO's zone, Vicente Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilídio Liberato came out of the goal and Vicente Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Valente struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ilídio Liberato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broeiras. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Valente to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ilídio Liberato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Broeiras's Vicente Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Broeiras's Vicente Valente in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Valente in the 68th minute of play forced MIGUELPAULO's goalkeeper Ilídio Liberato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nivaldo Salazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nuno Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MIGUELPAULO's Nivaldo Salazar got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Valente in the 78th minute of play forced MIGUELPAULO's goalkeeper Ilídio Liberato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Basílio Vilanova came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the MIGUELPAULO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Vilanova couldn't finish the play. MIGUELPAULO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
