After 8 played minutes Joga Bonito FC got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Cortez. Cris Saints's Luís Gago managed to work through Joga Bonito FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Luís Gago dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adérito Ramires got free with Aprígio Nunes in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domingos Lousada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aprígio Nunes having to interfere. Domingos Lousada in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aprígio Nunes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Octávio Graça's late challenge caught a Joga Bonito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octávio Graça helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cris Saints getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Octávio Graça hit a great ball. Lucílio Mourato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Joga Bonito FC's Miguel Mendes got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes Joga Bonito FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Lousada. After a defensive mix-up in Cris Saints's zone, Domingos Lousada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aprígio Nunes came out of the goal and Domingos Lousada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adérito Ramires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Aprígio Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aparício Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aparício Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gago in the 41st minute of the match. Cássio Horta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Aprígio Nunes made a huge save. Adérito Ramires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aprígio Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joga Bonito FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
