Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luís Sousa got the match started through his kick off. SC Caxinas's Francisco Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save SC Caxinas from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute Luís Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, SC Caxinas's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Sousa came free, but Francisco Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luís Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, SC Caldeirinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Gaspar came free, but Ricardo Assis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Francisco Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Assis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Caldeirinhas's zone, Rafael Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Assis came out of the goal and Rafael Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ricardo Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, SC Caxinas's Francisco Neves got control of the ball when Nuno Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Luís Sousa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Francisco Neves, passed just outside the right post. Eusébio Vieira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Assis having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Gaspar to make the kick off. Ricardo Assis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Caldeirinhas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vítor Machado was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Caxinas's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, SC Caldeirinhas's Ricardo Assis got control of the ball when Rafael Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Francisco Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Araújo in the 60th minute of play. If Rafael Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Caldeirinhas's Alexandre Tavares got a free kick in the 65th minute. Filipe Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SC Caldeirinhas's Ricardo Assis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save SC Caldeirinhas from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Sousa in the 70th minute of play forced SC Caxinas's goalkeeper Francisco Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Luís Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamantino Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ricardo Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Araújo struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Francisco Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Caldeirinhas. Francisco Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Araújo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After 86 minutes, Diamantino Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Caxinas and the SC Caldeirinhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diamantino Rocha hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Armando Matos helped the player get up and apologised. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
