Rui Palhares took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco Neves. Francisco Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Paulo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Caxinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafael Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Tinoco having to interfere. Rui Palhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Reinaldo Brites reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francisco Neves. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 17th minute, Diogo Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Xavier Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Caxinas. Rafael Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Tinoco having to interfere. Paulo Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Fernandes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes, Cestaco FC's Abel Mafra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisco Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cestaco FC reached it. Jairo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Neves having to interfere. Paulo Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Rafael Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Caxinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Brites made a kick off. Francisco Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Brites, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Paulo Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rafael Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Rafael Gonçalves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Rafael Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Gaspar in the 71st minute of play forced Cestaco FC's goalkeeper Xavier Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Palhares's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 92nd minute, Reinaldo Brites made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Neves. SC Caxinas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The Cestaco FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
