Osvaldo Júdice ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Sérgio Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Júdice blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Timóteo Assis having to make a save.
