Diogo Guerreiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vítor Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cândido Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 30 in the game by Diogo Guerreiro from a close distance when the talented Cândido Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. SC Palao's players were relieved. SC Palao's Cândido Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Guerreiro in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Vítor Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the SC Palao defense, Diogo Guerreiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cândido Fonseca. The SC Palao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cândido Fonseca should have stopped the shot.
