Pedro Vale made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Angélico Carvalhais sent off a good shot on target. Luís Castro scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Real de Santo Estevão's goalkeeper Pedro Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angélico Carvalhais. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Faro in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Cerdedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Faro came free, but Eduardo Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Uriarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Manuel Faro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Mota was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Angélico Carvalhais received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Vale came out and tried to block the shot, but Angélico Carvalhais slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 25th minute. Manuel Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Angélico Carvalhais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Morais hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Alexandre Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Real de Santo Estevão got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Morais. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Faro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Narciso Uriarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Manuel Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real de Santo Estevão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Cerdedo FC's Angélico Carvalhais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 63 minutes into the match, Real de Santo Estevão's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Rios came free, but Pedro Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Cerqueira during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joaquim Cerqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Alexandre Veiga put in a rough tackle. When Luís Castro came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Real de Santo Estevão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Castro couldn't finish the play. In the 77thth minute of the game Manuel Faro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerdedo FC's Eduardo Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eduardo Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Eduardo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manuel Faro came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Real de Santo Estevão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Faro couldn't finish the play. Real de Santo Estevão's Rogério Morais has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 84th minute. Osvaldo Rios kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Manuel Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Cerqueira in the 96th minute of play forced Real de Santo Estevão's goalkeeper Pedro Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Manso took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Vale. Pedro Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Cerdedo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
