Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Carrasqueira started the match with the kick off. Tomás Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Gonçalves during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raimundo Semedo struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. António Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SLB BENFICA. Paulo Carrasqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Monteiro in the 11th minute. António Jesus came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by SLB BENFICA's Telmo Viveiros. But to his dismay, Telmo Viveiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute Paulo Carrasqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Semedo in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Basílio Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Manuel Pinho hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Paulo Carrasqueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Jesus. Roem FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Carrasqueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Basílio Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Freitas having to interfere. Paulo Carrasqueira scored 1-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Jesus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Telmo Viveiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

After 52 played minutes SLB BENFICA got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Ribeiro. In the 60th minute, Raimundo Semedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basílio Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Semedos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got António Jesus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an all-out effort, SLB BENFICA's António Jesus threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valentim Prestes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. António Jesus was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Paulo Carrasqueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Carrasqueira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 81st minute, Basílio Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roem FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. After 87 played minutes Roem FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Monteiro. António Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Semedo in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Fernandes in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Freitas saved SLB BENFICA from getting behind.
