In the 15th minute, Lucas Moniz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Joaquim Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Joaquim Assis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Olhao and the Faniqueira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, SC Olhao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Assis to maneuver through the defense. Amílcar Soares came out of the goal and Joaquim Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amílcar Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Assis in the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes in the game, Lucas Assunção fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amílcar Soares having to interfere. Lucas Moniz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Faniqueira's Amílcar Soares got control of the ball when Lucas Assunção tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Assis to make the kick off. SC Olhao's Bernardo Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Olhao from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Assis in the 76th minute of play forced Faniqueira's goalkeeper Amílcar Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
