Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rui Matos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gustavo Guarda took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Máximo Ramos. Máximo Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With his leg Máximo Ramos managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Ponta FC's Basílio Carneiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 12th minute Rui Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máximo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C.Alverca's Alexandre Vidal got a free kick in the 17th minute. Cristóvão Dantas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 19 minutes, Alexandre Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.Alverca and the Ponta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rui Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 24 in the game by Basílio Carneiro from a close distance when the talented Máximo Ramos managed to make a qualified save. F.C.Alverca's players were relieved. After 26 minutes, Basílio Carneiro made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. F.C.Alverca's Máximo Ramos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 minutes of play F.C.Alverca's Alexandre Vidal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 32nd minute, Alexandre Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Matos in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máximo Ramos saved F.C.Alverca from getting behind. 43 minutes into the game, Rui Matos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Máximo Ramos. Rui Matos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Benedito Caires made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ponta FC's zone, Zeferino Campelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Lopes came out of the goal and Zeferino Campelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 52 played minutes Ponta FC got a freekick which was hit by Mário Brás. In the 57th minute Basílio Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máximo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benedito Caires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Malafaia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. F.C.Alverca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benedito Caires might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Caires ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ponta FC's Joaquim Lopes got control of the ball when Zeferino Campelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C.Alverca's goalkeeper Máximo Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rui Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Rui Matos made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. F.C.Alverca's Máximo Ramos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Máximo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Carneiro in the 76th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Rui Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Máximo Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Basílio Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Máximo Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedito Caires got free with Joaquim Lopes in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the match, Ponta FC's Rui Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Máximo Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ponta FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
