The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Campelo got free with Emanuel Gomes in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube Olhanense's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Barata came free, but Emanuel Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nuno Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Fontes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Gastão Belo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Leão in the 20th minute of the match. Hélder Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Emanuel Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Olhanense's Alexandre Fontes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, SC Touloes's Hélder Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Gomes. Emanuel Gomes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of SC Touloes booed when Sporting Clube Olhanense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Touloes's Hélder Azevedo got a free kick in the 34th minute. Gastão Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Leão in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Gaspar Mourão managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Touloes's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Mourão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gastão Belo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Gaspar Mourão took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Emanuel Gomes to make any attempt to save it. Sporting Clube Olhanense's Joakim Bergsten was substituted for Cristiano Assis. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Leão to make the kick off. A very nice done corner allowed Mário Jesus to score against Gastão Belo in SC Touloes's goal. 2-1 after 57 minutes. Hélder Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Gomes having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Afonso Amaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube Olhanense and the SC Touloes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Touloes booed when Sporting Clube Olhanense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Queiroga in the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Clube Olhanense getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rodrigo Leite hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Hélder Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Miguel Melo fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Touloes's protests and gave Miguel Melo a yellow card for diving instead. Sporting Clube Olhanense's Antoni Ikalewicz was substituted for Cândido Carneiro. After 77 played minutes SC Touloes got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Melo. Sporting Clube Olhanense's Emanuel Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Mourão in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Mourão in the 86th minute of play forced Sporting Clube Olhanense's goalkeeper Emanuel Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SC Touloes booed when Sporting Clube Olhanense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Gaspar Mourão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Emanuel Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. During the 97th minute of the match Miguel Melo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Miguel Melo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 97th minute, Miguel Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Touloes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sporting Clube Olhanense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
