José Jesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Cristiano Assis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Relva booed when Sporting Clube Olhanense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Sporting Clube Olhanense's Gaspar Torres seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gaspar Torres the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sporting Clube Olhanense protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gaspar Torres had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Sporting Clube Olhanense:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Relva:s goal. In the 69th minute, Bruno Cardoso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emanuel Gomes. The goal made the score 1-1. Sporting Clube Olhanense made a substitution. Antoni Ikalewicz replaced Cândido Carneiro. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Relva players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
