Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Lúcio Carvalheira got free with Miguel Silva in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Carvalheira in the 16th minute. Teófilo Antas charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teófilo Antas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Teófilo Antas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudemiro Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sporting C. P.'s Albertino Esteves got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Miguel Silva made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lúcio Carvalheira sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the game, one of Selimonos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Sporting C. P.. Nélson Salvado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claudemiro Trindade. 0-1. Lúcio Carvalheira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Silva having to interfere. Amado Mourato hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Sporting C. P.'s Rogério Sampaio in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Selimonos's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidro Fagundes made a kick off. If Isidro Fagundes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Sampaio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Claudemiro Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Rogério Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Trindade having to interfere. Amado Mourato hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gaspar Bessa scored 0-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudemiro Trindade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Amado Mourato came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Selimonos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Mourato couldn't finish the play. After having played for 81 minutes, Amado Mourato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selimonos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Mourato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Carvalheira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Carvalheira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Miguel Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lúcio Carvalheira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Antas hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
