Eusébio Garcia struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Humberto Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bitarães Utd Futebol Club. In the 17th minute Simão Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catarino Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catarino Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Brás in the 22nd minute of the match. Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's Catarino Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Paredes in the 24th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Simão Pinto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Humberto Monteiro, passed just outside the right post. Sandro Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Humberto Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48 minutes of play, SC Lavacido's Rui Macedo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Catarino Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simão Pinto to strike the kick off in the second half. Filipe Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's goalkeeper Catarino Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Macedo. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Nuno Paredes took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Catarino Leite to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Leiria got free with Catarino Leite in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Eusébio Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The SC Lavacido supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Lavacido would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
