After 6 minutes of play, Sardao FC's Alex Caldeira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Catarino Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! Catarino Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Vilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Caldeira got free with Catarino Leite in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Miguel Vilar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Catarino Leite. Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Vilar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Catarino Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Vilar in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's Simão Pinto got a free kick in the 21st minute. Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's Catarino Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Pimentel in the 24th minute of play. Sandro Vale struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Gil Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bitarães Utd Futebol Club. Emanuel Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Álvaro Salgueiro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alex Caldeira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Catarino Leite firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 38 minutes, Vasco Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sardao FC and the Bitarães Utd Futebol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. 38 minutes into the game, one of Sardao FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 45 minutes into the match, Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Vilar came free, but Catarino Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Alex Caldeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sardao FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simão Pinto to strike the kick off in the second half. Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's Catarino Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Pimentel in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Alex Caldeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Camargo having to make a save. Catarino Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Pimentel in the 65th minute of play. Catarino Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassiano Teles in the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Caldeira in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Catarino Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bitarães Utd Futebol Club's Catarino Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Caldeira in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Alex Caldeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sardao FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bitarães Utd Futebol Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
