Joaquim Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Mascarenhas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Loucas FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gastão Montenegro hit a great ball. Joaquim Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the match, Loucas FC's goalkeeper Josué Mascarenhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Garcia. Paulo Lisboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casarias's Adelino Leiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Lousada in the 26th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Loucas FC's Rui Campos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adelino Leiria was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 minutes, Gustavo Anjos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casarias and the Loucas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Casarias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Anjos to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes Casarias got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Queirós. Rui Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 66 minutes, Paulo Lisboa made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Loucas FC's Josué Mascarenhas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Wilson Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loucas FC's protests and gave Wilson Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Loucas FC's Wilson Barbosa got a free kick in the 70th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
