After having played for 22 minutes, Zarco Diegues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraíso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zarco Diegues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Broega's zone, Zarco Diegues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Pais came out of the goal and Zarco Diegues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, FC Broega's Egídio Pais got control of the ball when Zarco Diegues tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, FC Broega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aprígio Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Paraíso FC's Leandro Saraiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 36th minute, Eurico Maciel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zarco Diegues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Egídio Pais made a huge save. Zarco Diegues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Egídio Pais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egídio Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Maciel in the 45th minute of the match. If Isidoro Ventura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eurico Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. Valentim Curado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aprígio Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
