In the 4thth minute of the game Sandro Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GD RIOPELE's Bruno Pinhal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 6 in the game by Pedro Portela from a close distance when the talented Albertino Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. Subal FC's players were relieved. Albertino Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Portela in the 7th minute. Bento Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bruno Pinhal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Teixeira in the 12th minute of play forced GD RIOPELE's goalkeeper Bruno Pinhal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dércio Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Portela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertino Fonseca having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Sandro Teixeira put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Pinhal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Albertino Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angélico Azenha, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Subal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dércio Silva came free, but Albertino Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Dércio Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertino Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 60 minutes into the match, Sandro Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Pinhal. GD RIOPELE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. If Dércio Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Dércio Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. GD RIOPELE's supporters rose to their feet, but Dércio Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, José Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Dércio Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Subal FC's zone, Dércio Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Fonseca came out of the goal and Dércio Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandro Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Bruno Pinhal made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Bento Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Pinhal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. A collision led to GD RIOPELE getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Américo Bandeira hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Pedro Portela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GD RIOPELE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Portela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albertino Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dércio Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Pedro Portela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albertino Fonseca. Subal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Portela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6.
