Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Zouparria's Francisco Cardoso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, SC Laranjeiras's Carlos Carvalhais ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Campos. Miguel Campos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Miguel Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Carvalhais in the 13th minute of play. Éder Viveiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Francisco Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zouparria's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Taveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Cardoso in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moisés Taveira saved SC Laranjeiras from getting behind. Miguel Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Carvalhais, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Éder Viveiros hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. João Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moisés Taveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Zouparria were awarded a corner. Gil Assis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Zouparria's Rui Araújo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Carvalhais made a kick off. When Carlos Carvalhais came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the SC Laranjeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Carvalhais couldn't finish the play. Carlos Carvalhais struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Miguel Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Laranjeiras. Francisco Cardoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moisés Taveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Cardoso ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the game, Sabino Castelo Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Laranjeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zouparria the free kick. In the 59th match minute, SC Laranjeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Castelo Branco to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Gil Assis fired a really elegant long shot, but Moisés Taveira threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zouparria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. António Vargas was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Laranjeiras's players had a chance to rest. SC Laranjeiras's António Vargas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Miguel Campos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Éder Viveiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marco Correia fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zouparria's protests and gave Marco Correia a yellow card for diving instead. SC Laranjeiras's Carlos Carvalhais got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Zouparria got a freekick which was hit by Rui Araújo. Carlos Carvalhais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Campos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes Zouparria's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was António Vargas who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on SC Laranjeiras's corner António Vargas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miguel Campos quite easily take care of the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Duarte Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zouparria's Miguel Campos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éder Viveiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Marco Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éder Viveiros in the 90th minute of the match. Miguel Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Carvalhais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlos Carvalhais got free in front of the goal in the 93rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Miguel Campos was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 96 minutes into the game, João Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Moisés Taveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
