Filipe Simões hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Alexandre Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Lisandro Brás made a huge save. Vasco Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Brás having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Leandro Azeredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Inválidos and the Calhetas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leandro Azeredo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Hugo Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, FC Inválidos's Evandro Rego got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Saúl Carvalheira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes, Saúl Carvalheira made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Calhetas's André Pedroso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Evandro Rego fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Inválidos's protests and gave Evandro Rego a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Inválidos's Evandro Rego got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Lisandro Brás was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vasco Magalhães showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 45 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vasco Magalhães to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes FC Inválidos got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Anjos. Evandro Rego struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. André Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Inválidos. Calhetas's André Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saúl Carvalheira in the 56th minute of play. Saúl Carvalheira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Alcides Fragoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. André Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saúl Carvalheira in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Pedroso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Saúl Carvalheira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, FC Inválidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adérito Viana to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Alexandre Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calhetas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Gueifão's late challenge caught a FC Inválidos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Gueifão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Calhetas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Calhetas had won after a very even match.
